Our semi-private rooms are perfect for couples or solo-travelers

This locking bedroom shares a bathroom and kitchenette with other rooms. However, each apartment is limited to two bedrooms (or, in one case, three bedrooms), which limits the number of people you will come into contact with. Currently, our only option available is two single beds. Each Semi-Private Room is equipped with air conditioning, a fan and a mini-fridge. You can shop at the local Farmer's Market for supplies, and cook for yourself in the shared kitchenette. The kitchenettes are well-equipped with cookware, dishware, a stovetop, a microwave, a toaster, and an electric kettle. You can enjoy your dinner out on the small lanai behind the kitchenette, or you can bring it over to the guest patio and meet some other travelers!

About Our Cozy
semi-Private Rooms

You can pick up groceries in town and cook your own meals in the well-stocked kitchenette. All of our kitchenettes are equipped with a stovetop, microwave, toaster, pots/pans, and dishware for your use. Each bedroom in this suite is equipped with a fan.

Our no-frills prices do not include daily room service or linen changes. You may request full service housekeeping at an extra charge (inquire at the front desk).

Fresh linens & towels are available at the front desk upon request or with our housekeeper.

Quiet hours from 10:00pm-7:30am

All of our rooms are Non-Smoking.

In accordance with the traveler's policy, we maintain a 7-day stay limit for all reservations.

All guests must present current government-issued ID upon check-in, such as a passport or driver's license. If a room is listed as unavailable or sold out, please call our front desk at 808-339-0921 or email us at reservations@arnottslodge.com.

Our rooms and tours are not available for same-day reservations online.

Farmers' Market

You can shop at the Hilo Farmer’s Market for some fresh local produce and cook your meals in the shared kitchenette, which has a four-burner stove, a toaster, a microwave, and dishware.

Laundry Facility

All guests are welcome to use the washer and dryer facilities, TV area and the open guest patio area at the main part of the lodge across the street.

Outdoor Lounge

Enjoy surfing the net, catching up on emails and social media in the comfort of your own room with our complimentary WiFi in the Main Lodge which is located is 200ft. (60m)

   Amazing Mauna Kea Tour!!! I had lots of questions, plus  we wanted to try a day tour which is less common and everyone who answered phone was super nice & patient with my many questions.  We ended up being the only couple on the tour with a fabulous guide Donna who knew so much and gave us a great tour for hours. We started by visiting the rainbow falls - cloudy - drizzly - didn't matter - still gorgeous.  Note: If blue skies are important to you, the weather in Hilo area unpredictable and often cloudy/rainy  so plan accordingly . Then up Mauna Kea - broke through clouds & drizzle to blue skies - like being on another planet. We stopped at the different telescopes - yes, after reading & watching 3 Body Problem had to pose in front of the giant radio telescope. Donna was amazing not only gave tour but took lots of pictures of us and pointed out areas of interest and local recent history.  Keck visitor gallery -small hall with photos - an actual bathroom (!!!) and glass wall for viewing telescope is open again limited hours.  At first we were debating this due to cost but so glad we splurged and had the experience of a lifetime we will always treasure. Views stunning beyond belief. Donna, was a a rockstar tourguide and driver.  Thank you Donna for your time & expertise & hospitality!!!

   Arnotts is a Rough place  - Place is kind of run down. Homeless people walking through the property and down the street. Room was small with a "summer camp" size bed and a shared common area... read more with other people. Rough part of town, we left.

   Great service  - Booked the room to bundle with tour.   The room was large and had kitchen but he best was the balcony where we could view the wild life and... read more birds.   The  tour guide was excellent and provided a great tour of island and observatory.
