- All reservations will be charged the full amount at the time of booking.
- We have a 48 hour cancellation policy on accommodations and tours. There will be NO refunds on accommodations or tours for No-shows and/or changes made within 48 hours of the reservation. We do not refund early checkouts. We also do not refund any cancellations within 48 hours to the reservation date. If you cancel your reservation outside of 48 hours to your check in date, you are eligible for a refund minus a $49 cancellation fee.**

- Proof of an outward bound air ticket/itinerary is currently only required for campers. If asked, please be prepared to provide this.
- A valid government-issued ID is needed for all guests (except minors) for our records upon check in. If you cannot provide a valid ID you will not be able to check in.
- A valid credit card is needed on file for tours and accommodations. No third-party credit cards are allowed. A debit card or cash may be used for accommodations, and a incidental deposit will be applied from $150-$300.
- We have a 7 night maximum stay limit. Management’s approval is needed for any extended stay.
- Our rooms are all non-smoking, including in our camping lawn. Any evidence of smoking in the rooms or on the camping lawn will be assessed a $300 smoking fee.
- We are a not a party place! If you would like to party, get intoxicated and be loud– this is not the place for you.
- Quiet hours are from 10:00pm-7:30am: please respect our quiet hours as we have travelers recuperating from jet lag and who also want to rest for their next adventure.
- Our Office Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Hawaii Standard Time. No check-ins are accepted after 8:00 p.m.
- All guests’ visitors need to register at the front desk if staying more than 30 minutes. All visitors must leave Arnott’s Lodge by 8:00pm.
- Arnott’s Lodge is located in a tropical environment surrounded by dense flora that is home to geckos, ants, spiders, termites, coqui frogs, cane toads and many different species of birds and insects. The vast majority of Hawaii’s fauna is non-venomous. Although we do our best to remain free of any insect life in our rooms, our proximity to nature and our commitment in using limited insecticides will not guarantee an insect-free room 100% of the time. If you do happen to find a bug in your room, please let us know and we will take care of it for you. Raid is supplied in all rooms for use at guest discretion. Do not leave food out as this will attract insects in your room!
- No pets allowed.
- We do not accept mail on behalf of guests. Please do not send boxes or letters to yourself at our lodge: we will not accept them. If you need to have something mailed, you can send it with your name, care of General Delivery at the Hilo Post Office. Their address is 1299 Kekuanaoa St. Hilo, HI 96720.
