Whether you’re looking for a cozy basic room, a one-bedroom suite, or a 6 bedroom house, we have the perfect accommodation for you.
At Arnott’s Lodge in Hilo, Hawaii, we have taken the best ideas we have seen in our travels and put them here for you.
Over time, we have evolved the Lodge into a facility that offers almost everything the budget traveler could desire. You may bring your own tent and pitch it on our beautiful camping lawn, or you can enjoy our Simple Studio with garden views.
Between these extremes are our semi-private rooms and one-, two-, and three-bedroom suites for families and groups. For Doug Arnott, owner/developer of the Lodge and Tour business, this is his home and his hobby. Profits are reinvested in this unique business to improve guest facilities and grounds. It’s a location unlike that of any other Big Island accommodations or in Hawaii.
Our natural tropical environment, walking distance to great beaches, and free Wi-Fi make staying at our lodge and enjoying our location and other parts of Hilo a breeze.

Stargazing Tour - This review is for the Mauna Kea Summit tour. Our guide Andras was helpful and knowledgeable. This company does go all the way up to the summit. Keep in mind... read more not all companies do. Also a plus they use a laser pointer instead of manual telescopes. This is way faster as the whole group gets to see much more than it would if you each took a turn. Bring food if going during spring or summer since you probably will get back to hotel after the kitchen closes.
