Our Valleys and Waterfalls tour showcases our amazing Hamakua Heritage Coastal region! Enjoy diverse scenery from 400ft waterfalls to bridges crossing deep cleft valleys, each with entirely different vegetation patterns in a wild variety. This tour is designed to take advantage of both seasonal and daily weather changes as well as varying passenger loads from one to a vanful. We may take smaller numbers for an intense look at the beauty within 14 miles of Hilo, including the Scenic Route and Akaka Falls…or for larger numbers, a long-ranging tour as far as Waipio Valley. We will honor even one reservation by running the tour with no minimum number for a shorter duration and more intense enjoyment of the area as far as Akaka Falls. In this way we can serve those who choose not to rent a car or those who realize that they will see more and learn more in a guided tour. During seasonal heavy rainfall, waterfalls within a few miles of Hilo become spectacular cascades and the tour may morph into seeing those falls then getting you out of the rainfall or even to the other side of the Island. There is no set route nor list of sites as each tour is as different as the guides who lead it, some with stories of family growing up in the villages you will pass through.
*The tour does do a store stop where you are able to pick up breakfast, lunch, snacks and drinks.
BRING: Covered footwear, swim wear, sunscreen, water, towel, light jacket and snorkeling gear if snorkeling is desired.

There is so much to see within 20 miles of Hilo that content compensates for distance. No specific attractions are implied and no refunds will be given.
Reservations, to be confirmed, must be guaranteed by credit card or advance payment. We have a 48 hour cancellation policy. Cancellations made with less than 48 hour notice will not be refunded. Cancellations with more than 48 hours noticed will be assessed a $20 cancellation fee.
